Secretary Gale acted as a facilitator to help organize the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, which began operation in January 2009. The learning community involves the 11 school districts in the two counties and is designed to address broad educational issues in the Omaha metro area. Pictured is the Learning Community Coordinating Council during its March 19 meeting in Omaha. It was the last meeting that Gale served as facilitator.
