The Nebraska Civic Engagement Symposium in Lincoln focused on promoting civic involvement by college students, including promoting voter turnout. The nonpartisan event was sponsored by Secretary Gale and his College Student Advisory Committee. The event began with a luncheon, which included University of Nebraska President J.B. Milliken as the keynote speaker. In the afternoon, the symposium featured speakers from the judicial, executive and legislative branches of state government.
