Gale honors Bellevue woman for civics education

 

Secretary Gale honored Kathy Holkeboer of Bellevue for her exemplary efforts to promote voter education for 18 years. Holkeboer received the Secretary of State’s Civics Recognition Award for her leadership of the Voters Information Packet, which provides nonpartisan information on candidates and issues appearing on the ballot. She received the award during a ceremony at the Sarpy County Courthouse in Papillion. Pictured (from left) are Gale, Holkeboer and Wayne Bena, Sarpy County election commissioner.
