Chief Deputy Secretary of State Cathy Danahy addressed members and guests of the Binational Migrant Education Program at the State Capitol on June 24. Educators from Mexico spend about a month in Nebraska working in school systems that have a number of migrant students to help them become better adjusted in their schools and to help Nebraska teachers better understand the unique Latino culture.

Sec. Gale addressed a crowd celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln Highway in Kearney on July 1. Sec. Gale was one of several guest speakers. Afterward he and his wife Carol toured the Kearney Archway.
