Secretary Gale speaks about Nebraska's international ties

Secretary Gale was the guest speaker to a group of 40 people attending a Lincoln Talk Series Luncheon hosted by the Niagara Foundation and the Turkish-American Society of Nebraska.

Gale spoke on three topics. The first included Nebraska’s strong commercial ties internationally. That includes the Governor’s trade missions abroad and the opening of the Nebraska Centers in Japan and China.

He also touched on the University of Nebraska’s commitment to its international programs and its research partnerships in China, India and Turkey among others.

Gale also discussed his work as chief protocol officer, meeting with foreign dignitaries and working with organizations such as the Niagara Foundation, sister cities, Council on International Visitors, and others to promote cultural and educational understanding between foreign countries and Nebraska.
