Sec. Gale travels to China

June 1 - 14, 2014

Sec. Gale and his wife traveled to China in June with a group that included representatives of the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Confucius Institute.

Secretary Gale welcomed government and business leaders from Guizhou Province in China to the State Capitol on June 17 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the sister state-province relationship

During the morning ceremony, Sec. Gale exchanged flags with Ms. Goude Chen, vice president of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Association for Friendship

The sister state-province relationship is intended to promote cultural and commercial relations. Guizhou Province is a subtropical province in southwest China covering 67,000 square miles and a population of nearly 40 million people
