Secretary Gale participated in a March 23 event at the State Capitol honoring Joyce Stevens of Crofton as the 2012 Nebraska Mother of the Year. The event was the Nebraska Mothers Association’s Annual Recognition Day. Stevens was honored for fulfilling the ideals of successful motherhood: understanding, patience, compassion, love, courage, character and community spirit. Gale is shown presenting Stevens with a state proclamation in her honor.
