About International Relations

The Secretary of State serves as Nebraska’s chief protocol officer. In that role, the secretary promotes commerce, cultural exchange and educational studies between Nebraska and foreign nations. The secretary’s goal is to develop contacts, expertise and programs in the international field to connect Nebraska with the international community.
